Primetals has an immediate need in the Human Resources group in Alpharetta, GA (greater Atlanta) for a Sr. Human Resources Manager. This position will require some domestic travel.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Or
- Master’s degree in Human Resources management, Business Administration (with an HR specialization), or a related field is highly preferred
And
- Preference given to candidates with relevant professional HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR) demonstrating a commitment to professional development and expertise in the field.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Person will have Proven experience managing HR operations and programs for a large, multi-site organization (1000+ employees and contractors across 14 or more locations). In addition to:
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong generalist background in a fast-paced, engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including:
- Talent Acquisition: Recruitment, sourcing, onboarding, and employer branding.
- Employee Relations: Employee engagement, conflict resolution, performance management, and employee discipline.
- Compensation & Benefits: Salary administration, benefits administration, and incentive programs.
- Training & Development: Needs analysis, program design, and implementation.
- HR Operations: Data analysis, reporting, record-keeping, and compliance.
- Proven ability to navigate the complexities of managing a distributed workforce, including regional and cultural differences.
- Experience working within the plant building/electrical, automation and mechanical engineering industry, including both office and plant/manufacturing/field environments, and across a diverse workforce including salaried and hourly employees, is highly advantageous.
- Preference for candidates with prior experience as an engineer or in an engineering role. This will provide valuable insights into the technical aspects of the business and enhance understanding of employee needs and challenges.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing HR teams, including hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring team members.
- Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

- Change Management: Experience leading and supporting organizational change initiatives.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Leadership & Team Management: Experience leading and mentoring HR teams. Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing HR teams, including hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring team members. Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, etc.).
