Primetals Technologies is looking for the right individual that is practical, enjoys working in a hands-on environment, is skilled at identifying inefficiencies and know how to turn them into opportunities for improvement. This position will be responsible for leading the Administrative Services team with a mission to deliver high-quality HR services to the US operations of Primetals Technologies. There will be a strong focus on maintaining world-class service levels, continually improving our processes, and expanding the service catalog as business needs and people strategies evolve.
This critical role will report to the VP of Human Resources and will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing human resources programs and policies for the organization, including: HRIS management, payroll, leave management, and the hiring and orientation process.
- Focus on ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws in the area of payroll and human resources.
- This position will own the data integrity in the US HRIS by creating process flows, audit trails, and other processes that will ensure the information entered into the HRIS system with accuracy.
- Optimize US people systems and tools while working with internal stakeholders to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes and create simple, compliant processes that will scale with the business.
- Design and run a best-in-class onboarding program for the US operations which has 14 sites in the US and a mixture of hourly and exempt hires.
- Create a best-in-class process for the processes that support the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of new employees. This includes:
- Entering in the data for new requisition into SuccessFactors and Phenom
- Generation of offer letters
- New hire orientation
- Create feedback loops with new hires and managers to continually improve the onboarding experience, ensuring high engagement and satisfaction
- This role will work in concert with global and regional HR teams.
- Create audits for payrolls, ensuring compliance with company policies, laws and regulations in all jurisdictions.
- Creates, reviews, and interprets company policies and Federal/state regulations affecting payroll procedures.
- Responsible for delivering standard and ad hoc reports.
- Manages employee leaves of absence and workers compensation cases. Collaborates with outside vendors and management as necessary.
- Drive the value proposition for HR processes by building a strong, trusted relationships across the organization.
- Develop service level agreements and implement performance metrics to track effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of prior related experience
- A deep understanding of HR policies, procedures, and HR technology
- Experience working UKG payroll, Kronos, SuccessFactors
- Demonstrated success in establishing and streamlining processes, driving change and continuous improvement.
- Prior experience navigating and thriving in complex matrix structures.
- Proven ability to collaborate and partner for the achievement of short and long-term shared goals.
