We are looking to hire for the position of Sr. Sales Support Project Manager at our Benton Harbor, MI Facility.

Responsibilities

• Estimates, plans, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through others in the facility.
• Develops project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, shop routing, buying, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Experience in the estimating cost and scope of machining, assembly, recondition and new manufacture required.
• Coordinates project activities with activities of other MS Facilities.
• Point of contact for customer relations on projects.
• Monitors activities of personnel to ensure project progress is on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Provides technical advice to personnel to resolve problems.
• Prepares offer specifications and quotations to customers and follows up on them through customer order.
• Purchasing of parts, services, and other commodities as necessary to support projects or other business needs.
• Provide reporting of project status to management and other stake holders as necessary
• Willing to travel to customer sites and/or other PT locations for work and meetings, addressing customer issues and developing sales opportunities.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education plus experience
• 5 yrs. Experience in a job shop environment with exposure in production control, estimating/quoting, purchasing, and knowledge of various machining and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to organize and plan work for self and others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well and interact with customers, internal/external suppliers and colleagues.
• Goal oriented, self-starter, process driven, and competitive nature; need to win for the company and self. Good quantitative and analytical skills.
• Good computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint a must), AutoCAD, SAP knowledge preferred
• Ability to read sketches, blueprints and bills-of-material
