We are currently recruiting to fill the role of Machine Shop Supervisor for our Blytheville AR operation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year machining experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prioritize and assign work within the department, ensuring projects are completed timely, cost effectively and within quality standards
• Quote machining and fabrication jobs for external customers
• Work with local department managers to schedule and prioritize machining and fabrication activities in support of the caster repair department
• Maintain and provide a formal interface internally and externally
• Ensure EH&S and Quality objectives are reached and maintained in the department
• Manage a team of hourly machinists and fabricators, including training, coaching, development activities, performance reviews, merit planning, corrective actions, hiring and termination decisions
• Support and enable effective communications among the team
• Enforce Company procedures and policies
• Ensure completion of operational documentation for assigned group, such as travelers, map sheets, job router, work requests to other departments, etc.
• Ensure completion of safety documentation for assigned group, such as first reports of injury, environmental mishaps, JSA’s, etc.
