Title:  Manufacturing Supv/Mgr

The Primetals-Blytheville Facility provides maintenance and reconditioning of beam, bloom and billet, conventional and thin slab casters. Engineering services, in-plant laser measurement services, in-plant millwright services, mechanical machining of large and small components, fabrication and welding services, in-house nickel and chrome plating are offered. Our expertise and technological advancements in the manufacture and repair of continuous casting mold, segment, roll and related components allow us to provide customers exceptional value in workmanship and quality assurance with every job.

Our Primetals Blytheville, AR plant is currently recruiting to fill the role of Fabrication Supervisor.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Develop a diverse and talented team to provide fabrication and welding services to US steel producers.  Ensure the highest in customer satisfaction through quality workmanship, commitment to deadlines, delivering solutions and a positive, attentive dedication to the customer’s needs.  Commitment to successful leadership through accountability, team building, and knowledge sharing.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma
• Proven experience in the leadership of a team
• Strong technical knowledge of fabrication and welding processes

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages the activities of a team of 5-10 skilled laborers, under the direction of the General Manager, following established procedures and approved processes.

• Responsible for building and managing the fabrication team members to ensure product quality, efficient work habits and on-time completion of work assignments. 
• Apply, and ensure adherence to, Company values, policies and procedures, including but not limited to, safety, health and environmental rules, quality management systems and HR policies.
• Directs all production operations activities for assigned team.
• Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff, setting performance standards for the team.  Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with Company policy. 
• Evaluates the talents of the team and delegates, manages, and assigns work accordingly.
• Provides technical and safety training to direct reports.
• Acts as a direct contact and liaison with internal and external customers and other Primetals Facilities.
• Ensures adequate capacity for current production needs and supports analysis to ensure future capacity.  This includes adequate cross training so that multiple people can perform critical tasks thereby reducing downtime.
• Ensures the timely reporting and resolution of operations issues with engineering, caster repair, machine shop and others.  A team member in the resolution of customer complaints.
• Reviews work performed by the team to ensure the highest quality equipment is provided for our customers. 
• Performs process audits and recommends changes in methods and procedures to improve quality, efficiency, and delivery time.
