The Primetals-Blytheville Facility provides maintenance and reconditioning of beam, bloom and billet, conventional and thin slab casters. Engineering services, in-plant laser measurement services, in-plant millwright services, mechanical machining of large and small components, fabrication and welding services, in-house nickel and chrome plating are offered. Our expertise and technological advancements in the manufacture and repair of continuous casting mold, segment, roll and related components allow us to provide customers exceptional value in workmanship and quality assurance with every job.

 

Our Blytheville, AR facility is currently seeking to fill a 2nd shift Chrome Plater position.

Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.

Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience.

Requirements –

- Current, valid driver license   

- Preferred candidates will possess previous electroplating experience


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all necessary tasks associated with electroplating operations including but not limited to the following:

  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plating solution, tanks, pumps, filters and other equipment associated with the process. 
  • Preparation of parts: hand finishing, masking and installation of hangers and contacts. 
  • Pre-treatment of parts: removal of grease, oil, and residues utilizing chemical or cleaning solutions. 
  • Plating of parts: operating overhead crane to submerge part into plating tank. 
  • Unmask parts after removal from plating tank. 
  • Test the plating process to ensure compliance with required specifications. Adjusting PH of the bath and amperage on electrical rectifiers as required. 
  • Troubleshoot plating problems
