The Primetals-Blytheville Facility provides maintenance and reconditioning of beam, bloom and billet, conventional and thin slab casters. Engineering services, in-plant laser measurement services, in-plant millwright services, mechanical machining of large and small components, fabrication and welding services, in-house nickel and chrome plating are offered. Our expertise and technological advancements in the manufacture and repair of continuous casting mold, segment, roll and related components allow us to provide customers exceptional value in workmanship and quality assurance with every job.

We are currently recruiting to fill the role of TEAM LEADER I / Nickel Plating Department

The Team Leader is responsible for the personnel and activities of the Plating Department.  This individual will spend more than 90% of work hours performing plating tasks similar to those of other group members. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Ensure the safety and productivity of employees
• Receive written and verbal instruction, direction and training from Supervisor or other Senior Managers and disseminate this information to plating employees.
• Lead troubleshooting.
• Train employees and may participate in performance appraisal process.
• Operate from a broad scope of responsibility to schedule plating activities and maintain equipment deadlines.
• Performs final inspection of parts.
• May be responsible for supply and inventory purchasing for the department
• Performs final inspection of parts
• Enable effective communications between management and operators.
• Participate in risk assessments, near miss and incident investigations
• Enforce procedures and policies         
• May assist in the hiring process
• Serve as point of contact for customer and/or vendors

Required Education/Experience:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven organizational skills
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a specific equipment function experience required

• 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred, but not required
