The Primetals-Blytheville Facility provides maintenance and reconditioning of beam, bloom and billet, conventional and thin slab casters. Engineering services, in-plant laser measurement services, in-plant millwright services, mechanical machining of large and small components, fabrication and welding services, in-house nickel and chrome plating are offered. Our expertise and technological advancements in the manufacture and repair of continuous casting mold, segment, roll and related components allow us to provide customers exceptional value in workmanship and quality assurance with every job.

We are currently recruiting to fill the role of 2nd Shift Truck Driver / Commercial Truck Driver in Blytheville, Arkansas. The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of the truck and trailer to transport and deliver parts and equipment to Primetals customers.  Trips are typically local, but deliveries requiring an overnight stay may seldom be required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Class A commercial driver license.

Special Requirements

The Truck Driver is required to successfully complete a commercial driver medical exam.

The Truck Driver is required to lift and carry 10-20 pounds frequently and 30-50 pounds occasionally.

The loading and unloading of the truck may require that the driver climb, kneel, and crouch frequently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive and operate trucks/trailers owned by Primetals to safely transport parts and equipment to our customers.
• Read location and road maps.
• Pick up parts and equipment from the customer sight and return them to Primetals for maintenance, repair or modification.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Inspect truck and trailer for mechanical and safety issues before each trip.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer.
• Plan best route options.
• Meet delivery schedules.
• Report defects, accidents or violations as instructed by Primetals.
• Follow and obey all applicable all DOT and state traffic regulations.
