Title:  Sr Accounting Specialist

We are looking to hire Sr. Accounting Specialist for Cortland/Warren, OH.  The position will report to the Accounting Manager:

Responsibilities:

• Managing, processing and directing all cycle counts for 3 plants with different inventory systems
  • Warren weekly counts using warehouse management
  • Warren Guides weekly counts using warehouse management
  • Cortland monthly counts using inventory management
• Coordinates and serves as auditor for annual inventory physical counts.
  • Recruits and trains counters
  • Manages what area employees are counting and what days to ensure complete by deadline
  • Audits random count sheets and recounts
• Responsible for all EOM inventory reconciliations
• Reviews inventory items with reserves and works with team to scrap or disposition
• Oversees all activities with Accounts Payable and Vendor Master
  • Gathers all required documents to create/change vendors
  • Part of vendor master team
  • Reviews and process AP invoices not being entered on Taulia
  • Reviews GR/IR to resolve issues so vendors can be paid
• Generates all AR invoices for Cortland/Warren, Morgoil, LR Guides and LR Spares (Sutton)
  • Create and post all invoices.
  • Track and enter all invoices that need to be submitted on customer portals for payment
• Manually email invoices with proper documentation to customer for Cortland that does not use the auto-email function
• EOM Activities:
  • Review all WBS elements to make sure they are in FIN status with no open PO’s
  • Review all production orders for TECO status and all operations are closed
  • Analyze costs posting to our cost center to review for accuracy and creates correcting journal entries
• Prepares monthly reports
  • Purchases Good/Bad for headquarters
  • Vendor on time performance analysis
  • Rework activities and costs for management
  • Kronos activity to analyze indirect and misc labor and management review
  • On time delivery reports
• Cap-X
  • Works with team to create the CAR and provide all documents necessary to submit for approval
  • Monitors open projects to ensure progress payments are made on time and in line with approved budget
  • Upon completion creates Asset Cap form with all required documents
• Audit Requests:  
  • Gathers requested documents for internal and external audit requests

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; will consider combination of degree plus experience

• Five years of Accounting experience in role performing all functions
• Independent, takes ownership
• Good communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• SAP experience, a plus
