Our Ghent, KY facility is currently seeking to fill a Manufacturing Production Planner position.

$5000 retention bonus!

Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.

Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience.

Duties of the mechanic will be performed in-house and on location at customer site.

Qualifications –

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years’ caster maintenance

Requirements –

• Current, valid driver license   
• Possesses exceptional work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills,
• Willing to make decisions, able to trouble-shoot semi-complex technical problems
• Understanding of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance concepts
• Proven data analysis and reporting skills
• Proven capability to manage multiple tasks with time sensitive deadlines
• Must be goal oriented and process driven

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, schedule and control preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for machines, facilities and equipment through collaboration with shop management.
• Responsible for preparing task plans for production and service activities, monitoring execution and time spent.
• Identifying required materials, generating technical and statistical reports.
• Provide customer service support and solutions to resolve problems and reduce costs.
• Provide rough cost estimates and detailed quotes to customers for special projects, caster maintenance and self-manufactured orders.
• Monitors production labor hours, customer down-day calculators and caster equipment tracking history.
• Communicates production efficiency, man-hour utilization, and equipment completion dates to members of the Ghent management team.
• Manage and maintain process audits seeking opportunities to improve product flow and decrease labor hours.
• Frequent customer interfacing and promotion of Primetals’ services and capabilities.
• Communicate customer’s needs to other internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Assists engineering and management in projects as required.
• Assists with design of service workflows and procedures.
• Expedites critical jobs through the production, test and inspection processes.
• Interface with the Engineering department and customers regarding product modifications.
• Must maintain successful relationship with engineering, production, industrial services, quality, safety and supply chain to accomplish goals and objectives.

Frequent: Walking, standing, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying of twenty (20) lbs or less.

Occasional: Climbing, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carrying of fifty (50) – thirty (30) lbs.
