Sr. Manager/AGM/DGM – Application Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Process Specialist to join our IDT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting SAP processes to enhance our business operations. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, external support companies, and the Global SAP Team to ensure seamless integration and optimization of SAP solutions. Besides SAP, the candidate will also be responsible for other application tools fully integrated with SAP such as CALCIS, Project Profile, FITBACK, Proflow, and BW. Additionally, he will be responsible for non-SAP applications like business process workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. SAP Process Management:
    • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Engage with key business users to understand requirements and design SAP solutions that align with business goals.
  2. Project Management:
    • Participate in S4 migration teams from inception to completion.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress.
  3. Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to end-users on SAP processes and best practices.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues in a timely manner.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP processes and configurations.
  4. Process Optimization:
    • Continuously evaluate and optimize SAP processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Implement best practices and industry standards in SAP process management.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Production, Quality, Finance, Procurement) to understand their SAP needs and requirements.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of SAP processes.
    • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and provide updates on SAP initiatives.
  6. Data Management:
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the SAP system.
    • Manage and oversee data migration and integration processes.
    • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP process management, preferably in the manufacturing/project industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP modules relevant to the project industry (e.g., PP, MM, SD, QM, FICO).
  • Proven experience in SAP implementation and project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • SAP certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and IoT concepts.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud).

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based in Kolkata.
  • Occasional travel to other locations (within India and abroad) may be required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate project deadlines.
