We are looking for a Machinist at our Axis, AL facility. 

Responsibilities:

• Operates lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines, duplicating and profile machines; specialty Faro Laser Machine
• Works from drawings and written instructions
• Requires knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining processes
• Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined
• Inspects machined work pieces to verify conformance
• May provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced machinists
• Daily maintenance check of machine
• Other work may be assigned at Management’s discretion

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

• High School or Equivalent
• 5 - 8 years of related work experience
• Crane/Forklift Certification – In-house training provided to obtain certifications
• Valid Driver’s license
• Proper use of Safety Equipment – Safety boots, hard hat, fall protection, safety glasses, ear plugs
• Proper use of tools:  Inside and Outside Micrometers, Depth Micrometer, Calipers, Bore Gages, Other General Hand Tools
