Title: Marketing & Communications Officer

THE ROLE
The Marketing Communications Officer is to be responsible for developing & implementing marketing plans to promote the products & services of Primetals Technologies UK to its key target markets. The role works within the Sales and Marketing function and reports to the Marketing Manager. The main duties include producing and editing marketing content (web, social, print, sales literature, video, etc.), tracking and evaluating campaign effectiveness and reach and undertaking market research to inform future campaigns.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In-line with business and marketing strategies, develop and implement tactical marketing and PR plans. Liaising with PT colleagues to develop marketing communications materials and content.
- Writing, editing and publishing press releases, social media posts, brochures, web content and other written content.
- Producing marketing videos for social media and online usage.
- Ensure all market communications comply with and strengthen the Primetals Technologies brand voice and identity.
- Ensure the voice of the customer is at the centre of all communications and express the Primetals Technologies offering in a way that addresses their needs and challenges.
- Ensure key measures are in place to monitor the effectiveness of all marketing activities and report the results of marketing campaigns to management teams.
- To support the marketing team in all other marketing activity relevant to the role as directed by the Marketing Manager.
- Develop and maintain good supplier relationships and work with the procurement team to ensure best value for the business. (e.g., illustration, photography, videography, animation displays, exhibitions, design etc.)
- Event management and delivery – work with colleagues to support in the organisation and delivery of events, conferences, and exhibitions both in the UK and overseas.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Produce engaging and compelling content for all marketing channels including writing and editing. Ability to take technical content and simplify the message.
- Build collaborative relationships internally and have the ability to influence marketing decisions.
- Strong organisation and project management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain a comprehensive network of professional contacts with individuals in key organisations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and an effective presenter
- Experience of working in a large, global organisation would be preferred but not essential.
- At least 3 years previous experience of working within a marketing communications role and ideally within a B-2-B environment.
- No direct line management responsibility however you will be expected to take the lead as a subject matter expert in collaboration with internal departments.
- Experience in working with international teams and across different company cultures is advantageous.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Having a full UK Driving License is preferred. Occasional travel away from home may be required to visit other PT sites within the UK. Or travel to support marketing activities abroad (typically European travel).
