Project Coordinator - Reconditioning Group

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Coordinator to join our Reconditioning group. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely completion of reconditioning/rebuild projects by closely collaborating with our after-market spares and service group, as well as manufacturing teams. This position requires occasional travel to customer and vendor sites to discuss upcoming projects, process improvements and present Primetals' reconditioning and services capabilities to increase business. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for creating bill of materials, routings, WO, keeping tracking sheets up to date, project tracking and supporting the Field Service staff.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the After-Market Spares and Service group’s project coordination needs
  • Understand the equipment terminology
  • Develop relationships within engineering, manufacturing, and field service resources
  • Work with customers to develop maintenance plans
  • Establish customer relationships for continued service support
  • Establish vendor relationships to support service business
  • Support MS reconditioning & LR Assembly on shop floor
  • Flexibibility to meet customer requirements is required
  • Keep internal tracking sheets up to date
  • Create and update bill of materials, routings, and work orders for various projects
  • Other reasonable related duties as assigned

 

Required Knowledge/skills, Education and Experience:

 

  • Associate degree or Equivalent Experience in related discipline. 
  • Typically, 2-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. 
  • Experience in a technical role supporting maintenace shop and interfacing with end users.
  • Required Travel 0-25%

 

The following are preferred requirements:

  • Familiar with Steel Rolling Mill mechanical equipment
  • Able to read measuring instruments and blueprints
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Professional, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to take direction
  • Efficient and effective multitasker
