We are currently searching for a Procurement Specialist for our Warren, OH location.  This person will report to the Supply Chain/Logistics Supervisor. 

Responsibilities:

• Participates in standard buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials.  Expedites as needed.
• Serves as liaison between vendors and users, getting prior approval for purchases in excess of established limits.
• Resolves standard delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices.
• Supports in updating project plans and purchasing systems.
• Reviews and analyzes requisitions and supply plans for domestic and international purchases.
• Supports in the preparations of requests for quotes and assists in the development of new supply sources.
• Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work; seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others; Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve non-complex problems. 

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

• BS/BA in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge and principles of field of specialization
• Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
• Typically 2 – 5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
• SAP Experience, strongly preferred
