Institutional Affairs Specialist
The Institutional Affairs Specialist supports Turboden’s strategic positioning within international, European, and national institutional frameworks. The role focuses on regulatory and policy monitoring, institutional advocacy, and support for publicly and EU‑funded projects, working in close coordination with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Public Affairs function.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze EU and national regulatory, legislative, and policy developments related to energy, decarbonization, and industrial policy.
- Support the definition of Turboden’s regulatory and institutional positions.
- Contribute to advocacy activities and institutional relations with European and international bodies (e.g. European Commission, European Parliament, Permanent Representations).
- Participate in working groups and policy initiatives within relevant industry associations.
- Support the identification, preparation, and management of public and EU‑funded projects (e.g. Horizon Europe, LIFE Programme, Innovation Fund).
- Ensure effective internal and external coordination, collaborating with technical teams and the Group’s Public Affairs function.
Requirements
- University degree in Political Science, Economics, Law, or related fields; Engineering degree is a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in EU regulation, public policy, government affairs, public funding, or the energy sector
- Strong knowledge of EU institutions and policy making processes; a Brussels based professional network is an asset
- Fluent Italian and English; knowledge of French is a plus
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; ability to work across functions and cultures
- Proactive, results oriented mindset with strong teamwork skills
- Availability for business travel within the EU and to the USA – 20%

- Indicative gross annual salary (RAL): €30,000 – €40,000, commensurate with experience and aligned with CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria.
