Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid role located in Carrollton, TX just outside of Dallas.

SCOPE:

The Technical Program Manager will drive the planning and execution of complex, cross-functional engineering programs to deliver advanced modular electrical and mechanical systems for hyperscale and colocation data center clients. The Technical Program Manager will establish operational excellence and deliver highly engineered products on time and on budget.

 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of experience managing complex technical or engineering programs.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own end-to-end program delivery for new data center infrastructure products, from concept through design, validation, manufacturing ramp, and customer delivery.
  • Develop detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
  • Track progress against milestones and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate clear, consistent communication across all stakeholders, including executives, engineers, vendors, and customers.
  • Ensure alignment between engineering design teams (electrical, mechanical, controls) and manufacturing/operations on requirements and deliverables.
  • Support vendor and contract manufacturer management to ensure schedule and quality targets.
  • Lead program reviews, status meetings, and executive updates with clarity and accountability.
  • Help define and implement best practices and tools for program management within a growing organization.
  • Collects, analyzes, and monitors program metrics, progress, and performance to identify inefficiencies and implement new processes, workflows, or technology.
  • Tracks and analyzes engineering program costs to ensure alignment with the budget and broader business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: minimum of four (4) years of experience managing complex technical or engineering programs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with program management tools and methodologies (MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools.
  • Strong PLC (Program LifeCycle) experience with major Data Center Operator or direct vendor.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5+ years’ experience in data center infrastructure, industrial systems, or large-scale electrical/mechanical equipment programs.
    • Experience delivering for hyperscale or colocation clients, or for vendors serving them.
    • PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification.
    • Familiarity with lean product development or manufacturing environments.
    • Familiarity with Japanese business culture is a plus.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel %: 20%
  • Standard Monday through Friday work week. Weekend/late night work if applicable.
  • Lifting/physical requirements: Regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, talk and/or hear Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
