Purpose of the job

The Project Manager Hydrogen & PtX is expected to support the Energy Transition Business in EMEA region by managing projects in the field of hydrogen and PtX production infrastructure and driving projects forward for the time being until FID and potentially until COD throughout the construction phase depending upon progress of the project along with the Project Partners.

 

Key tasks

  • Steer technical project management from concept to final investment decision, including road map and risk management
  • Develop, manage and coordinate Concept Studies, Feasibility Studies, Pre-FEEDs and FEEDs (Basic Engineering), including electrolysis, hydrogen synthesis and carbon capture technologies
  • Manage and allocate the project budgets during the development phases
  • Structure and define interfaces between Project Partners and all other partners involved into the project
  • Plan, evaluate, select and execute solid contracting strategies and be the key contact person to contractors
  • Support the origination and development of teams in business plan evaluations, due diligence processes, project structuring, creation of partnerships, stakeholder management and value assurance process

  • You have social and intercultural competence for interfacing with project partners, contractors and senior management

Experience

  • You have a MSc or MEng in process technology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • You have at least three to five years’ experience working in process or power industry projects
  • Experience in working with and understanding synthesis, cracking or related chemical process technologies or electrolyzer technology and in the green hydrogen sector is appreciated but not mandatory
  • You have experience in Risk Management, cost estimation/calculation and time scheduling
  • Ideally you have a Project Management Certification according to IPMA Level D or equivalent
