- Summary
The Accounting Manager oversees the company’s accounting operations, treasury functions, and financial reporting processes. Responsibilities include financial statement preparation and analysis, cash management, audit coordination, and local and federal tax compliance. This role also supports cost center budget control and reporting and assists the Treasurer with company-wide financial forecasts for the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. The Accounting Manager ensures adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and corporate compliance standards while collaborating with internal teams and external advisors.

Work closely with the Treasurer, internal accounting staff, and offshore accounting support team in the following areas:
Managerial & Supervisory
- Supervise and mentor internal accounting staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and training, and foster career growth and accountability.
- Manage the daily accounting operations and deliverables of the internal and outsourced accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with company procedures.
- Provide solution support to the cross-functional teams to resolve accounting transactional, system, or procedural issues efficiently.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or modified to meet business needs.
Monthly Closing
- Lead and manage all aspects of monthly and quarterly closings, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Cost Allocations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Financial Statement, Audit & Tax
- Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with audit and reporting requirements.
- Manage local and federal tax compliance, including income tax, property tax, and sales/use tax filings, working closely with external tax firms to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes (P2P, R2R, O2C) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
Cost Center Budget Control & Reporting
- Lead the monthly cost center reporting process and support cost center managers in budget monitoring.
- Support the annual budget process and forecast and midterm review cycles.
Cash Management
- Monitor daily cash balances and transactions and manage short- and long-term cash forecasts.
Forecasting & Management Reporting
- Analyze divisional P&L projections and consolidate company-wide financial forecasts for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow under the direction of the Treasurer.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting manager or supervisory accounting role, with a total of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience covering general ledger, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and managerial accounting; demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, and performance evaluation across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP HANA FICO preferred) and collaboration with global or shared service teams.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for financial modeling, reporting, and presentation preparation.
