Role Overview

The Assembly Repair Technician is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling Roll-in Assemblies. This role works collaboratively with other technicians on projects assigned according to qualifications, technical expertise, and operational needs. The technician also supports the Assembly Repair Supervisor with resource planning, data tracking, and shop development initiatives to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.  required.

Key Responsabilities

  • Maintain and execute assembly and repair processes within HRT. 
  • Apply well-rounded mechanical skills to optimize the repair and assembly of turbine components. 
  • Continuously develop and refine standard procedures for shop and field operations. 
  • Coordinate with HRT supervisors, engineers, operations managers, and the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) team to ensure sufficient resources are available to complete work safely and effectively. 
  • Support outage optimization efforts by incorporating duration-reduction strategies into standard practices. 
  • Perform disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly maintenance activities. 
  • Accurately complete and review required documentation, including datasheets, Core files, and work packages, in a timely manner. 
  • Coordinate with EH&S to remain current on mandatory training and compliance requirements. 
  • Actively contribute as a member of a collaborative team and support department and company initiatives. 
  • Provide technical support for maintenance activities involving turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant equipment. 
  • Apply fundamental concepts and procedures for turbine-generator maintenance. 
  • Ensure data systems are used correctly, maintained regularly, and kept current. 
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with peers and leaders at all levels. 
  • Safeguard confidential and proprietary information and comply with all applicable Export Control requirements. 
  • Travel overnight approximately 20% or more by land and/or air, as required. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school, at least three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and to write routine reports and professional correspondence. 
  • Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, with familiarity in basic algebra and geometry. 
  • Ability to apply practical judgment to detailed written, oral, or diagram instructions and address problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations. 
  • Basic proficiency with database, spreadsheet, word processing, email, flowcharting, technical diagram, ERP, PDM, and presentation software. 
  • Valid driver’s license and passport. 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, positive, and inclusive team environment while demonstrating integrity and professionalism. 

Physical & Safety Requirements

This role requires regular standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Hearing protection may be required in some areas.
