Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is looking for a Technical Recruiter to join our team on a 6-12 month temporary assignment. This is an onsite role supporting our Data Center and Energy Management Division from our Houston Headquarters, located near the Galleria District.

SCOPE:
The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for the full cycle recruiting of highly technical and operational talent across engineering, manufacturing, energy and corporate IT functions. This role will have a deep understanding of technical business needs and partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders to develop strategic recruiting plans that meet the demands of rapidly growing industries including digital infrastructure, energy, and information technology.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven (7) years of full‑cycle recruiting experience, including at least four (4) years focused on technical roles within fast‑paced, high‑growth, or engineering‑driven environments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand technical staffing needs, job requirements, and business objectives.
- Design and execute effective recruitment strategies for multiple business units supporting a range of industries from Energy, Data Centers, Information Technology and Manufacturing.
- Proactively source candidates through various channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and industry events.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate technical assessments.
- Conduct behavioral and technical screenings to assess qualifications and position alignment.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and technical teams, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Provide timely updates and communication to candidates and hiring managers.
- Advise hiring managers on interview best practices, market insights, and salary benchmarking.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting, resume screening, outreach, interviews, to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Coach and support managers in the development of new or updating of existing job descriptions.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and ensure compliance with hiring policies.
- Build and maintain a robust network of qualified technical/engineering professionals for current and future roles.
- Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Analyze recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Support the recruitment of other non-technical roles and HR initiatives, as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of full‑cycle recruiting experience, including at least four (4) years focused on technical roles within fast‑paced, high‑growth, or engineering‑driven environments.
- Proven success sourcing and engaging engineers and other highly technical talent for high‑growth startups or scaling organizations in competitive markets.
- Strong understanding of complex engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, controls, chemical or similar.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions, adapt to changing priorities and prioritize effectively.
- Solid understanding of employment laws, compliance requirements, and recruiting best practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarity with data center infrastructure, networking, and certifications (e.g., CCNA, AWS, ISO).
- Experience negotiating complex compensation packages.
- Familiarity with behavioral interviewing techniques.
- Certification in HR or recruiting (e.g., SHRM-CP, AIRS, LinkedIn Certified Professional).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Travel %: up to 10%
- Standard Monday through Friday work week. Weekend/late night work when applicable
- Lifting/physical requirements: Regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, talk and/or hear Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
