SCOPE:

Through the years and continuing through today, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America Corrugating Machinery Division (CMD) serves the growing, dynamic packaging industry with leading edge equipment systems, sales, parts, technical and field support, making it one of the most respected suppliers to converters in North and Central America.  

 

The Digital Transformation Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the digitalization of our products and services for our Corrugating Machinery Division (CMD). This role will focus primarily on industrial IoT, predictive maintenance, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), customer web portal development, and other cutting-edge projects.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelors’ degree in engineering/computer science and at least two years’ experience in supporting digital program development.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Development and Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of digital programs, with a primary focus on industrial IoT, predictive maintenance, AR/VR training, and customer web portal solutions.
  • Project Support: Support the effective execution of various responsibilities associated with different projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply expertise in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields to provide solutions for complex problems and contribute to the success of digitalization initiatives.
  • AR/VR Development: Utilize 3D CAD development skills to assist in optimizing models for AR/VR applications, enhancing user experience, and ensuring compatibility with evolving technologies.
  • Software Development: Contribute to the development of software components integral to digital programs, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Apply your familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services to support the optimization of efficiency and scalability in digital solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, IT, and customer service, to support seamless integration of digital programs and continuous improvement.
  • Training and Documentation: Assist in providing training to internal teams and customers on new digital products and services. Support the development of comprehensive documentation for internal and external use.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute to the continuous enhancement of the organization's digital capabilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: At least two years’ experience in supporting digital program development, preferably in industrial settings. Familiarity with 3D CAD development for AR/VR applications is highly desirable.

    • Programming skills and experience in software development, including cloud computing platforms and services.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities with varying deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Lifting/Physical Requirements: Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
