Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is looking for a Parts Coordinator I to join our team. This is a hybrid role based out of our Hunt Valley, MD location.

SCOPE:

The Parts Coordinator supports the Corrugating Machinery Division by responding to customer inquiries, identifying replacement parts, preparing quotations, and coordinating parts orders from inquiry through delivery. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and works closely with internal teams to confirm pricing, availability, order status, and shipment details. The position contributes to customer satisfaction by ensuring parts requests are handled accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding replacement parts for corrugating equipment and provides clear, professional, and timely communication throughout the sales process.
  • Reviews parts manuals, databases, and other available resources to identify required replacement parts and confirm customer needs.
  • Prepare accurate quotations by confirming part numbers, pricing, availability, lead times, and applicable order details.
  • Process customer orders in the applicable business system, ensuring information is entered accurately and consistently with customer requests.
  • Maintains and updates customer information, open order details, and account activity in customer relationship management or related business systems.
  • Coordinates with purchasing, warehouse, and other internal teams to verify parts availability, vendor status, shipment timing, and outbound delivery information.
  • Addresses customer questions or concerns related to parts orders, pricing, availability, order status, and delivery, escalating issues as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related customer service, sales support, order entry, parts coordination, or administrative experience required.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to accurately enter, review, and maintain customer, order, and parts information in business systems.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests, follow up on open items, maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems, customer relationship management systems, or other order management software.
  • Experience with SAP or similar business software.
  • Experience supporting parts, inventory, manufacturing, equipment, or industrial service operations.
  • Familiarity with corrugating equipment or related industrial machinery.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel: Minimal travel may be required
  • Schedule: Standard Monday through Friday work week. Weekend or late-night work may be required occasionally based on business or customer needs.
  • Lifting/physical requirements: Regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, talk and/or hear. Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Compensation: 

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current hourly pay range for this position is $24.94 to $27.71 per hour. The actual compensation offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range is subject to change over time.
