Role Overview

The Accounting Analyst provides support for Accounts Payable operations within Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. This role is responsible for processing supplier invoices, maintaining accurate financial records in SAP, supporting reconciliations and month-end close activities, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and timely through invoice workflow tools while ensuring compliance with Accounts Payable procedures and controls. 
  • Communicate with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper invoice handling. 
  • Review, enter, and reconcile invoices including utilities, leases, telecom, customs duties, and other operating expenses. 
  • Support payment scheduling, vendor compliance, and maintenance of organized financial and ERP documentation records. 
  • Assist with month-end close activities, data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives including automation and process enhancements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business discipline or technical diploma from college or university and 4 Years extensive direct experience in accounts payable and full-cycle accounting processes is required. Experience with shared services experience is desired.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and work independently or in team environments. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, SAP and ERP Systems, electronic mail is required. Experience with purchase order reconciliation is preferred.
