ROLE OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for assisting the Project Financial Manager with the management of the financial aspects of projects within the New Generation Systems (NGS) business. The position ensures that project financials are accurately reported and that budgets are properly maintained, as well as providing support to project managers and other team members.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Project Financial Manager with the monthly EAC (Estimate at Completion) reviews to ensure accurate project forecasting.

  • Prepare project financial reports and assist in maintaining project cost controls.

  • Support project financial data integrity in the ERP system.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of project budgets and forecasts.

  • Review and reconcile project accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.

  • Support project audits by gathering and reviewing necessary documentation.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the timely processing of project-related financial transactions.

  • Monitor and report on project cash flows and expenditures.

  • Support project closeout activities including reconciliation of accounts.

  • Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance project financial management.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project accounting or financial management.

  • Experience in a project-based environment such as engineering, construction, or manufacturing preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as SAP preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.

  • Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

  • Occasionally required to stand and walk.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
