ROLE OVERVIEW
This internship position will support the Engineering Operations Team in the planning and coordination of project scheduling and activities for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Combined Cycle Equipment Projects. The position will assist with process improvements associated with project planning and preparation.
The intern will be integrated and work side by side with the various engineering execution and proposal teams, receiving daily or longer-term assignments based on capabilities. As part of the internship, the individual will learn the business processes at Mitsubishi Power, and the tools and processes used in the development of engineering operations planning.
The position requires the ability to quickly comprehend and independently work on assignments with minimal supervision. It is Mitsubishi Power’s goal to train the intern to be ready for a full-time position with Mitsubishi Power upon graduation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Group Managers, Execution, and Applications Engineering with short-term and long-term work assignments, achieving required results with high quality and timeliness.

Support schedule development and template creation.

Assist in performance tracking and coordination of activities/schedules.

Support process improvement initiatives.

Provide database support for engineering operations.

Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Maintain good communication and networking with team members.

Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
Education and/or Experience: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other Technical Degrees.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry
Computer Skills: Fluent in MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Acrobat, Excel, and Word at minimum).
