Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is looking for an Associate Director.  This position will be based at the Headquarters in Lake Mary, FL.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Reporting – the Associate Director will manage the day-to-day accounting and reporting matters for Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. including the consolidation, reporting systems, accounting policies/processes/ controls, and procedures. A highly visible leadership position working with executive management. 



  • Preparation of the Mitsubishi Power consolidated and combined financial statements, including footnotes.
  • Preparation of the month end reporting packages and analysis to both external and internal customers. Including management reports and presentations.
  • Managing the external audit relationship and coordinating requests accordingly.
  • Journal entry review of payroll, accruals, prepaids, reclasses, business insurance, recurring J/Es, ad-hoc.
  • Manage and strengthen the identification and reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
  • Account reconciliation management, including the governance of the Blackline tool.
  • Manage and training of a local accounting team of 3 - 5 people.
  • Manage the R2R processes outsourced to a third-party professional services firm, training, reviewing, and revising SOPs as necessary.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, including, supporting external and internal audit requests.
  • Maintenance and governance of the Chart of Accounts, Profit Centers, and Cost Centers.





  • Support management of fixed assets.
  • Assist with the annual budget and analysis to the actual results.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit and working cross-functionally with team members.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels.
  • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.
  • Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required by management.



  • CPA or Equivalent is required.
  • Accounting/Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university.
  • Big 4/Public Accounting OR large company experience (preferably at least $1B) with Big 4 experience. Manufacturing and Job Costing experience (preferred).
  • At least five (5) years in management of accounting staff and 10 plus years of accounting experience.
  • Reporting, International Consolidation/Inter-Company experience of multiple international business units and account reconciliation experience.
  • Foreign currency exchange experience.
  • Proficient in use of SAP (preferred), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Detail and process oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines.
