SUMMARY
The New Generation Systems (NGS) Quality Improvement team is part of the Business Excellence Department and is responsible for NGS Quality Improvement initiatives supporting the organization's vision and operational objectives.
The Quality Improvement Associate will participate in analysis efforts that support the development and implementation of quality improvements across New Generation Systems (NGS).
Key tasks in quality improvement work include but are not limited to, reporting on quality processes, identifying quality improvement opportunities, tracking root cause analysis actions, supporting the generation of standard operating procedures, communicating with stakeholders, including engineering, quality, and project personnel, and facilitating meetings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the documentation of quality processes and standards, including analysis documents, Corporate Process Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and Working Instructions.
- Analyzes data related to quality processes, including root cause analysis and cost of quality, to identify opportunities for quality improvement and proposes solutions.
- Participates in and supports efforts to identify and prioritize quality and productivity processes from the improvement opportunity program for NGS.
- Supports the monitoring and reporting of NGS business results & quality metrics, supporting maintenance of ISO-9001 certification requirements.
- Collaborates with the Process Improvement Team to develop and implement quality tools and processes for NGS.
- Recommends quality process improvement based on data analysis findings.
- Analyzes and reports business-relevant data.
- Displays the ability to gather and extrapolate data from interviews, working groups, and discussions with other personnel.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.

- Education and/or Experience: Junior or Senior completing an Engineering bachelor's degree preferred, other degrees will be considered based on experience/background of applicant.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, financial statements, technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform necessary calculations to satisfy job requirements.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve under supervision practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations where data exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: Medium to advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, data manipulation, analysis software.
- Soft skills: Organized self-starter who can clearly and concisely communicate with a variety of stakeholders. Time management and planning are essential skills for fulfilling job responsibilities.
