Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida is looking for a Business Analyst.

This role is based at the Headquarters in Lake Mary, FL.

 

SUMMARY

The New Generation Systems (NGS) Business Excellence (BE) team is responsible for our NGS Strategic Process & Quality Improvement initiatives supporting our organization's vision and operational objectives.

The Business Process Improvement team under NGS BE is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our team to help evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions that fit within our strategic goals and programs.

In this role, you will be the liaison between our NGS business stakeholders and our IT department, supporting process improvement initiatives involving system applications. 

The Business Analyst is crucial in driving NGS continual growth through people, processes, and executing with excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Create, map and update process documentation, and work instructions in support of business process improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with business process owners to document process improvement requirements and perform requirements analysis.
  • Develop and propose potential solutions to address process gaps based on analysis of business needs.
  • Be the liaison between our business stakeholders and the IT department to ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Support process improvement solutioning, implementation, user acceptance testing and monitor deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Support collaboration across departments to ensure NGS programs are synchronized, meet our strategic goals, and consider how changes affect up/downstream processes and tasks.
  • Create data visualization dashboards and reports for NGS.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Integrated Business, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
    • Preferred: Experience in system implementation.

  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Curious, self-motivated, out-of-the box, with the ability to challenge status quo based on business value and dynamic changes in our organization and market.

  • Clear and concise communicator with strong negotiation skills who communicates with a diverse audience at various levels of our organization - ability to listen, interpret & extrapolate data and generate forward thinking actions.
  • Experience using various data analysis tools such as Pareto charts, flowcharts, histograms, scatter diagrams and fish-bone diagrams.
  • Computer Skills: Medium to advanced competency in MS applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio.
    • Preferred: Experience with PowerBI, PowerAutomate and PowerApp.

Relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills that form positive working relationships.
