Role Overview

The Commissioning Training Associate is to provide a variety of support and development of the commissioning training programs of Mitsubishi gas and steam turbines for our Commissioning Team. The role involves supporting internal commissioning training initiatives through research, design, and revision of technical training materials. Key activities include contributing to the development of new training modules, participating in the planning of upcoming training projects, and coordinating efforts between commissioning and engineering teams to capture and incorporate lessons learned into training programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Manage high-volume communication channels including email, chat, and phone at all organizational levels.
  • Develop and maintain familiarity with scheduling requirements and operational processes related to commissioning training plans to support efficient planning and execution.
  • Design engaging training programs using a variety of instructional techniques, including instructor-led classroom sessions, self-paced e-learning modules, and multimedia presentations.
  • Understand various drawings and diagrams related to gas or steam turbines.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of thermodynamic principles as they apply to Combined Cycle Power Plant operations and performance.
  • Support the completion, review, and compilation of documentation required for site turnover, including test certificates, drawings, and technical records.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a college undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration programs) at a four-year college or university.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of a secondary language such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Japanese is considered a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Internet Software and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
