Role Overview
The Document Control Coordinator 1 position is responsible for supporting engineering and project teams by managing document revisions, transmittals, and records. This role ensures accurate information exchange between Mitsubishi Power, customers, and vendors through document management systems while providing administrative and process support to the Engineering organization. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
- Support engineering, customer, and vendor document control activities and assist users with document management systems.
- Prepare, distribute, and track document transmittals, ensuring stakeholder awareness and acknowledgment.
- Maintain accurate document metadata, filing, audits, and quality checks to ensure data integrity and schedule compliance.
- Monitor document flow, resolve issues, generate reports, and support training on document control tools.
- Scan, print, convert, and archive documents in accordance with engineering procedures.
- Participate in training sessions for new team members on document control processes and tools.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in relevant Business, Engineering, and Computer Science discipline or technical diploma from college or university and 2 Years extensive direct experience training in business process improvement or document management system automation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience with integrating systems using APIs or middleware platforms and basic scripting development skills desired.
- Strong analytical skills related to engineering problem solving. Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint, with demonstrated ability to create, manage, and communicate information effectively. Experience using Power BI for data visualization, analysis, and reporting is required.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and must not require employer immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
