Role Overview

The HRSG Engineer II position is to support proposal and contract execution teams for purchased Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) for use in combined cycle power plants. The position includes significant interaction with Mitsubishi Power applications engineering, global sourcing, customer teams, site personnel and project management teams. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Review customer technical specifications and align HRSG solutions with Mitsubishi Power product offerings.
  • Develop and prepare HRSG technical documentation including P&IDs, performance requirements, guarantees, scope of supply, emission requirements, and bill of quantities.
  • Support emission guarantee development in coordination with HRSG and catalyst suppliers and internal engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders to support HRSG scope, proposals, and execution activities.
  • Support supplier and customer negotiations by providing HRSG technical expertise during contract discussions.
  • Review HRSG proposals, drawings, and performance data to ensure compliance with Mitsubishi Power and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline or technical diploma from college or university and 3-6 Years extensive direct HRSG or combined cycle power plant engineering is required.
  • Working knowledge of HRSG systems, components, and combined cycle plant operations.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section I and B31.1 codes is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical interpretation capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
