ROLE OVERVIEW
Mitsubishi Power Americas is a major power generation equipment and storage solutions provider for the energy industry. Our goal is to empower our customers to affordably and reliably combat climate change and advance human prosperity using our technologies. Our products include advanced class gas turbines, hydrogen gas turbines, lithium ion and flow battery technologies, digital solutions, and renewable energy project development.
The Associate Engineer of Control System is tasked with the responsibility of supporting the design, configuration, and testing of control systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support project engineering schedule reviews, deliverable tracking, and action items.
• Support engineering execution activities, performing HMI computer and control system configuration and testing.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Write reports and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions.
• Perform multi-tasking and multidisciplinary communication.
• Perform other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Education and/or Experience: Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering from four-year, ABET accredited college or university
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, networking concepts, computer programming languages, flow charts, etc.
INTERESTS
Interest about learning Engineering Project Planning, Basic and Detail Design, Configuration and Testing of Industrial Control Systems.
Interest in learning about Control Systems and Control Panel design including equipment selection, equipment layout, I/O Module selection and schematic diagram preparation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Noise levels may be moderate to loud; hearing protection may be required in some areas.
