Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Associate (INTERNSHIP).
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- MUST be currently Enrolled in a bachelor’s Program from an accredited college or university.
- Work Schedule: During School need to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during business hours and can work up to 28 hours a week Max if a fit for the Student and During Breaks can be up to 40 hours a week as needed. (we will work around your school schedule and Finals).
- Length of Internship: 6 months minimum and could extend longer if a fit for the student and need to be able to commit to this time frame if selected.
- Must be able to start in May 12, 2025 and be able to work at the office.
SUMMARY:
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Associate provides support services for EHS related activities as well as performing an array of tasks that have direct impact on current projects that we are implementing. The learning objective for this internship is to provide comprehensive support covering a wide range of disciplines to help the Corporate EHS Team in making more-informed data-driven decisions, processes, protocols, and procedures. This internship allows a current student to gain valuable experience in the Power Industry and exposure to real-world project application.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend EHS team meetings and support project work and tasks as appropriate.
- Data entry within the EHS Data Management Systems.
- Assist with maintaining EHS records within the Data Management Systems.
- Assist in the build-out and launch of new features within the EHS Data Management Systems.
- Gain understanding of the Company’s Core Values as well as the EHS Culture, Policies, and Business Units.
- Perform daily assigned tasks provided by the Sr. EHS Manager of Risk & Global Security.
- Provide administrative assistance and support with all aspects of the corporate environmental program.

- Education and/or Experience: Must be pursuing a 4-year degree in accredited institution.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint software and Word Processing software. Advanced MS Excel.
