Role Overview

The Supply Chain Finance Manager is responsible for driving financial performance across supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and manufacturing support. This role ensures strong cost control, accurate financial reporting, and data-driven decision-making to optimize operational performance and support strategic initiatives. The position partners closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Project teams to align financial objectives with operational execution in a complex, capital-intensive environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to align financial performance with operational targets.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight into sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and logistics optimization.
  • Drive cost visibility across materials, freight, warehousing, and distribution activities.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance metrics including cost per unit, freight costs, inventory carrying costs, and supplier price variance.
  • Partner with operations to optimize inventory levels, improve inventory turns, and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Support working capital initiatives to improve cash flow and financial performance.
  • Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support long-range planning including capacity expansion and supply chain strategy.
  • Ensure strong financial controls across supply chain transactions including inventory accounting and cost of goods sold.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs using SAP and analytics tools to monitor performance and support decision-making.
  • Serve as a key finance partner, supporting financial modeling, scenario analysis, and strategic decisions such as make vs. buy.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Strong experience with SAP and financial systems.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing operations.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
