Role Overview
Mitsubishi Power in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a Human Resources Associate for a Summer 2026 Internship. As part of our IGNITE Internship Program, interns actively contribute by gaining hands-on experience, tackling real-world challenges, and supporting innovative energy solutions in a collaborative environment. The Human Resources Associate will develop foundational knowledge of HR processes while focusing on a primary project to present to HR leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate core competencies including action orientation, change advocacy, customer focus, development of self and others, and ownership.
- Build foundational knowledge of employee development programs and HR processes.
- Support Talent Development and HR teams with projects related to campus recruiting, internship and early career programs, new hire orientation, intercultural trainings, and mentoring programs.
- Serve as a liaison for internal company programs, supporting recruiting efforts, marketing campaigns, and employee inquiries.
- Prepare employee communications regarding program initiatives and events.
- Assist in development of calendar invitations and coordination of employee events.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation within Talent Development processes.
- Support development of SharePoint pages for employee programs.
- Create visual materials such as flyers and communications to increase engagement.
- Research best practices and prepare recommendations for program enhancements.
- Develop proposals for continuous improvement and new program initiatives.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a college or university program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field with graduation date of August 2026 or later.
- Strong interest in Human Resources operations and employee support.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and interpret professional business documents.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
