Mitsubishi Power, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is looking for a Manager of Commissioning Execution.
SUMMARY
The Manager of Commissioning Execution leads and supports commissioning projects for the Lake Mary Projects Group, starting when projects transition from the Design and Construction phase to the pre-Commissioning phase. This role serves as the primary contact for the site commissioning teams and reports daily to senior management. Responsibilities include forecasting, scheduling site resources, and coordinating training. The manager collaborates with engineering and the Project Support Management Team to refine field procedures for commissioning and start-up.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain staffing models to meet project support needs based on equipment delivery contracts.
- Prepare, update, and manage internal commissioning documentation and checklists for site teams.
- Conduct monthly site visits to assess site teams’ effectiveness and communication skills.
- Develop and promote Site Division of Responsibility’s (Site DORs), to align teams and clarify reporting expectations.
- Develop and support SOPs for the Commissioning Services Team.
- Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
- Assist Project Support Management (PSM) with commissioning procedures and Project Action Requests (PARs).
- Develop dashboards and metrics to highlight urgent site support needs and coordinate timely responses.
- Coordinate project Commissioning Turnover to Mitsubishi Power Generation Systems (PGS) - After Service Team.
- Provide commissioning support and technical assessments to the Project Warranty Team.

- Communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels.
- Promote good teamwork between multiple teams involved in construction and commissioning.
- Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.

- Always follow Mitsubishi Power safety requirements.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills needed.
- Actively participate in Mitsubishi company sponsored training programs.
- Perform other such duties as may be required or assigned.
- Work in the global environment to maintain standards and latest practices.
- Expect to perform scheduled site visits/work away from the home office involving both domestic and international travel for up to 40% of the assigned work year.
- Maintain a valid and up to date driver’s license and passport.

- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or Technical diploma from college or university. Minimum of 5 years related experience in the field of construction or engineering. International business experience is desirable. Experience with EPC power projects required. Experience with developing project drawings, procedures, and documents. Strong organizational and supervisory skills needed.
- Management Requirements: 2 or more years’ direct management experience in construction or engineering. Experience in people management and development as a first line Supervisor/Manager.
- Language Skills: Able to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Multilingual in Japanese and/or Spanish would be an asset.
- Reasoning Ability: Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required. Comfortable working with Information Technology (IT) Developers to establish reporting, tracking and job history information systems associated with sitework.
