Role Overview
The Manager, Process Engineering leads process engineering activities supporting product development, project execution, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role collaborates closely with engineering, project management, supply chain, commissioning, quality, and commercial teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality process system solutions while supporting team development and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular coordination with service organizations and international engineering partners to drive product improvements and technology transfer initiatives.
- Monitor project and product development schedules, budgets, and estimates to ensure successful execution.
- Provide regular status updates and technical feedback to management.
- Collaborate with project management, supply chain, quality, construction, commissioning, and engineering teams to resolve issues and prioritize work activities.
- Support application engineering, commercial operations, and estimating teams with scope development and cost estimates.
- Maintain understanding of design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning lead times for process system equipment.
- Support product optimization and standardization efforts to improve manufacturability and reduce costs.
- Lead or support root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and field issue resolution activities.
- Interpret applicable codes and standards and ensure engineering compliance.
- Support implementation of engineering tools, standards, procedures, and smart-tool initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
- Travel up to 20%, including occasional international travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Minimum seven (7) years of technical experience in industrial facilities or process engineering environments.
- Minimum three (3) years of leadership or management experience.
- Experience supporting project execution, product development, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Knowledge of process engineering principles, industrial equipment, and applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Preferred familiarity with ASPEN HYSYS, EDR, SmartPlant P&ID, and Primavera P6.
- Preferred familiarity with control valve technologies, piping systems, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Spanish and/or Japanese language skills are a plus.
