Role Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide a high level of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG), Emission control equipment technical support to engineering, projects, sales and customers having responsibility to act as the Mitsubishi Power subject matter expert for Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and Emission control equipment for use in combined cycle and simple cycle power plants. The position includes significant interaction with Customer teams, EPC teams, Mitsubishi Power applications engineering, global sourcing, site personnel and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HRSG and emission control technical reviews from proposal through warranty stages.
- Evaluate field issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary technical contact across multiple projects, guiding engineers on complex issues.
- Lead technical bid evaluations and supplier selections.
- Develop best practices and guidelines for HRSG and emission control implementation.
- Review and approve technical documents and specifications.
- Support customer and supplier contract technical negotiations.
- Lead design reviews with suppliers, EPCs, and customers.
- Travel to site to support technical issue resolution.
- Participate in product improvement initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and support team development.
- Lead process improvements and standardization efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 12+ years of HRSG engineering experience in OEM, EPC, or gas turbine environments.
- Working knowledge of ASME Section 1, B31.1, PTC 4.4, PTC 46.
- Experience in resolving HRSG field issues and performing root cause analysis.
- Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software.
- Ability to travel and meet physical job requirements.
