Duties: Lead teams of project control professionals with diverse experience levels to include planners, schedulers, cost analysts, risk management, and reporting leads. Participate in project control activities to include scope, code of accounts, cost, schedule, resource utilization, change management, and risk identification with ability to support through the development of cost and schedule baselines, progress and performance evaluation, variance analysis, change management, and forecasting. Manage cost and schedule. Anticipate complex internal and external project control issues and communicate the impacts to the business in a concise fashion. Work cross functionally across the business to drive project controls practices and behaviors to include estimating, commercial, supply chain, project management, and engineering. Provide accurate and timely project controls reporting and communication on large-scale Power Generation projects in a hybrid EPC / project delivery environment. oversee the creation of baseline and updates to an integrated EPC schedule in Primavera P6. Work with the planner / scheduler to load resources, maintain labor hour forecasts, and report schedule variances per established deadlines. Prepare, review, and update weekly/monthly progress reporting that includes earned value schedule progress, schedule forecasting, and executive management summaries. mentor, coach, and lead using this experience and fundamental understanding. Support the claim management process through knowledge of time impact analysis procedures. Architect, prepare, implement, and train standard project controls reports to include variance reports, cost reports, and s-curves in accordance with recommended project controls practices. Manage project controls data systems and further develop existing systems to drive efficiency. Ensure the compliance with the project Contractual requirements and internal Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of experience working with OEM, engineering, procurement oil and gas, or construction (EPC), or related experience.

 

Skills Required: Must have experience with: SAP; creating dashboards and visuals using Power BI or Power query; creating functions and drawing relationships between multiple reports using DAX language; Cost and value engineering projects (such as cost-structure analysis or bottom-up cost calculation) and improvements of the costs; Engineering specifications, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) for material quantity take offs for estimating purposes; Data analytics and programming tools such as Python, SQL, Dax, and Power BI; Scheduling tools such as Microsoft project, Smarsheet or P6.
