Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida is looking for a Project Financial Analyst.

 

SUMMARY

 

The Project Financial Analyst is responsible for managing the financial aspects of New Generation Systems (NGS) projects, ensuring accurate tracking, forecasting, and analysis of project financial performance. This role supports project managers and finance leaders by evaluating project costs, updating forecasts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures.


 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track and control project budgets and forecasts in alignment with company accounting policies.
  • Conduct monthly Estimation at Completion (EAC) meetings to validate financial projections.
  • Monitor and update cash flow forecasts, coordinating with stakeholders to manage invoicing.
  • Ensure proper cost allocation and approval routing in collaboration with project teams.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide financial insights and update project forecasts.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required financial documentation.
  • Generate financial reports, including variance analysis, budget tracking, and cash flow summaries.
  • Identify financial risks and cost overruns, recommending corrective actions to project leaders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project financial policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings to standardize NGS Finance processes and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate project financials.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently as needed.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field from four-year College or university.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in project financial analysis or a related role. Must be comfortable leading and driving cross-functional meetings.
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting, cost analysis, and project accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, accounting, database, manufacturing, project management, spreadsheet, word processing and email software. SAP experience a PLUS.
