Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Logistics Specialist to support all international & domestic logistics, including the transport of oversized or overweight equipment to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Manage end-to-end project logistics activities, including shipment planning, transportation coordination, and final delivery of Mitsubishi Power equipment to project sites.
  • Ensure on-time delivery by collaborating with internal stakeholders, global teams, suppliers, and logistics providers to align transportation plans with project schedules.
  • Coordinate multimodal transportation solutions for high-value, oversized, and project-critical cargo.
  • Execute the Release to Ship process, including issuing shipping instructions and coordinating activities with suppliers, logistics providers, sourcing teams, and site personnel.
  • Support supplier, project, and customer meetings to facilitate logistics planning, issue resolution, and project execution.
  • Monitor logistics costs and process transportation invoices, supporting project budgets and financial reporting.
  • Manage transportation-related claims, including damage, delays, and freight charge disputes, and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company trade compliance policies.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including import/export records, broker instructions, and customs clearance documentation.
  • Partner with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers to resolve import/export challenges, support operational initiatives, and prevent project delays while supporting the Project Logistics Manager and Customs Compliance Manager as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, or 5+ years of relative experience.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating domestic and international cargo movements, including complex or project-based shipments.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, HTS classifications, international trade regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, organization, cross-functional coordination and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as project needs dictate.
