Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida is seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator.
SUMMARY
The Quality Improvement Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and implementing quality assurance initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and service operations. This position ensures compliance with internal standards and external regulations, supports root cause analysis, drives corrective actions, and assists in continuous improvement projects that enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives across departments.

Assist in performing root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA).

Review non-conformance reports and identify trends or systemic issues.

Maintain quality documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and continuous improvement.

Support internal audits and coordinate corrective actions from audit findings.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure quality plans are executed effectively.

Facilitate training and communication related to quality systems and procedures.

Contribute to Lean or Six Sigma initiatives as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Ensure timely documentation of all quality-related issues and reports.

Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and management.

Support cross-functional initiatives that impact quality or compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or related technical field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or quality role.
Technical & Interpersonal Skills:

Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements

Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone)

Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and independently
Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience with quality management software (e.g., QMS platforms, SAP, etc.) preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate office equipment

Occasional exposure to manufacturing or warehouse environments

May require wearing PPE in designated areas

Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
