Mitsubishi Power, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is looking for a Senior IT Operations Manager.

 

 

SUMMARY

 

This position will lead a dedicated team responsible for maintaining and optimizing the tools and infrastructure that support our global IT operations. This role involves strategic planning, continuous improvement of our IT processes, and ensuring the highest levels of system availability and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, a proven track record in team management, and the ability to work collaboratively across different departments.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the IT Operations outcomes for MPWA, providing guidance and support to ensure effective maintenance and optimization of IT tools and infrastructure.
  • Partner with the MHIA shared services team who manages infrastructure and security to develop project requirements and ensure project efforts are on target with shared resources. Also work to develop SLA’s that will be used to measure shared services capacity and performance.
  • Act as the technical lead for several key projects regarding new facilities and key internal processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies for IT operations that align with the company’s goals, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency.
  • Manage IT assets and procurement, which includes developing a strategy for annual refresh cycles.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT systems, ensuring reliability and availability of services to support the engineering teams and wider organization.
  • Collaborate with IT engineers and architects to understand infrastructure needs and provide the necessary support for infrastructure design and build activities.
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships and contracts for IT services and tools, negotiating terms, and overseeing service delivery to meet our operational requirements.
  • Implement best practices for IT service management, including incident management, change management, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures, conducting regular audits and coordinating with the security team to address vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Participate in the disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring business continuity in the event of system failures or other disruptions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the IT, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new technologies and tools to enhance our infrastructure and services.
  • Travel - 10% throughout the Americas.
  • This role will be based in Lake Mary, FL – remote is not an option.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of implementing ITIL best practices for ITSM.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies, scrum, and agile, and tools such as JIRA
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including cloud services, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience supporting engineering teams and familiarity with the tools and processes used in IT infrastructure design and build activities.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams, driving performance and professional development.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
