Role Overview
Reporting to the Vice President Global Head of Tax. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and reviewing tax compliance and reporting matters on complex transactions in accordance with US domestic and foreign tax code regulations as well as providing training and mentorship to other members of the tax team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for applying industry-specific knowledge to advise on the tax implications of the business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to mitigate tax burden and the cost of compliance, and identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the contact for complex tax issues. In this role, you’ll be responsible for understanding and identifying potential tax issues and opportunities, communicating potential risks related to existing regulations and changes in the tax policy to assist in making top-level decisions regarding filing, preparation, and resolution of questions from federal, state, local and foreign tax authorities. The Senior Manager will assist with the review and management in the calculation and preparation of the provision for income taxes under ASC 740, quarterly estimated tax payments, schedules for income tax return compliance, and research of direct and indirect tax issues related to both foreign and domestic tax. The Senior Manager will assist management with tax planning and resolution of federal, state, and local income tax audits. The Senior Manager will be responsible for keeping abreast of changing income tax domestic and foreign laws and issues relative to our industry and organization. The Senior Manager will be a critical member of the team and will be involved in the supervision and training of the other team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Accounting under ASC 740
- Support the preparation and review of current and deferred tax schedules.
- Calculate and review tax reserves and valuation allowances.
- Collaborate with external auditors and internal departments on tax provision matters.
- Partner with external service providers to review tax provisions for both domestic and foreign entities.
- U.S. Domestic and Foreign Income Tax Compliance
- Assist in preparing source data for annual income tax return workpapers and calculations for federal, state, and Latin America filings.
- Maintain quarterly detailed tax account reconciliations for U.S. and Latin America entities.
- Prepare quarterly estimated income tax, extension, and tax return payments.
- Manage unclaimed property processes, including historical resolution where applicable.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly sales tax returns.
- Compile source data for property tax returns.
- Review and draft timely responses to federal and state income tax notices.
- Lead staff in preparing and filing information returns (e.g., Forms 1099, 720, 1042), FBAR, and FATCA/CRS reporting.
- Review foreign indirect tax reporting (VAT, RCT, etc.).
- Support the internal tax team and external tax advisors in the annual R&D credit study.
- Assist in preparing source data for transfer pricing reports in U.S. and Latin America.
- Contribute to the implementation of streamlined and automated tax reporting processes.
- Support tax audits, including scheduling and preparing responses to information requests.
- Assist in identifying and implementing tax savings opportunities such as applicable tax credits and communicating results to the Vice President.
- Conduct special tax research projects as assigned.

- Minimum 8+ years tax experience in public accounting or comparable industry experience
- Big 4 (or equivalent) public accounting experience with a focus on U.S. corporate tax and Latin America tax matters.
- Deep understanding of country specific Latin America Tax planning and Tax Compliance.
- Comprehensive understanding indirect taxes: Property Tax and Sales and Use Tax Compliance Filings.
- Extensive experience in tax planning, tax compliance, and the preparation of tax returns and provisions, with a proven track record in a similar role

- Understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, including international tax laws for global organization.
- Knowledge of US consolidated tax return rules and regulations & Latin America country specific tax filings.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate and explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Proficient in tax research software and advanced Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in use of SAP and One Stream, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
