Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida is looking for a Senior Pricing Manager. 

 

This role can be HYBRID if in the local market or REMOTE for candidates within the United States.

 

SUMMARY

 

The Senior Pricing Manager will be responsible for the implementation of strategic, tactical, and operational pricing initiatives including pricing analytics, tools, processes, and databases. Work cross-functionally with all Mitsubishi Power organizations to develop dynamic pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Own pricing analytics initiatives such as scope normalization (new unit and services), market pricing, cost/price index, value stories, and numerical postmortem analysis.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to track cost of the products and develop bespoke methods for competitive market pricing.
  • Analyze historical and current market price and develop methods to predict future market price.
  • Track other equipment manufacturers’ Public Information on pricing and product development.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive behaviors.
  • Track inflation in key raw materials and other metrics to optimize pricing changes. 
  • Build, maintain and refine MS-Excel based tools that will be used in Strategic Pricing Team.
  • Test these tools for new builds and optimizations before release, covering both input and output mechanisms.
  • Analyze input and output data to get to the ‘so-what’, with guidance and direction from Strategic Pricing Director.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to collate data.
  • Calibrate and optimize the tools as per market trends.
  • Develop technical specifications for troubleshooting and expansion of the tools.
  • Work with related Business Units on the migration of the MS-Excel based strategic pricing tools to digital platforms.
  • Develop processes for pricing analytics initiatives and pricing tools for repeatability, reproducibility, and scalability.
  • Provide training on the processes and the use of tools.
  • Develop and maintain database system of pricing indices such as $M, $/kW, $/EFH, etc.
  • Support Business on budgetary level opts. for competitive analysis/price recommendation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily while meeting deadlines.

 

  • Education:  BSc and/or MSc in a STEM subject from an accredited college or university.

 

  • Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience preferably with 5+ years in power generation sector.
  • Understanding of power generation technologies, products and scope.
  • Understanding of power generation economics and evaluation metrics.
  • Experience in a similar role including solid exposure to managing pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives.
  • Or experience in commercial and/or technical customer-support roles.
  • Experience in design, testing and deployment of new pricing capabilities or business processes.
  • Experience in working global cross-functional teams.

  • Mathematical Skills:

 

  • Analytical/mathematics skills to collect, measure, organize, interpret and analyze data.
  • Technical expertise in analytical tools and techniques.

  • Computer Skills:
  • Highly competent in Excel, including VBA/macros.
  • Programming language (SQL, Python,…) experience a plus.
  • Experience in tool development.
  • Experience in using/designing databases.
  • Experience in Visual Basic, and Power BI (preferred).
