Job Description: 

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a SmartPlant Administrator.

SUMMARY

The SmartPlant Admin will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SmartPlant applications to support engineering and design teams. This position ensures the integrity and reliability of data within the SmartPlant suite and facilitates the integration with other engineering tools and databases.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer and support SmartPlant applications including SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID), SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), Smart 3D (S3D), and SmartPlant Foundation (SPF).

  • Manage user access, system configurations, and project setups.

  • Provide technical support to engineering teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.

  • Coordinate with IT and software vendors for updates, patches, and enhancements.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and user guides.

  • Ensure data consistency, quality control, and compliance with company standards.

  • Facilitate training sessions for end users to maximize utilization and efficiency.

  • Support data migration and integration efforts across platforms.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with SmartPlant tools.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of SmartPlant applications and system architecture.

  • Familiarity with database systems and SQL for reporting and querying.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with large-scale engineering projects in oil & gas or industrial sectors.

  • Knowledge of Hexagon/Intergraph systems and licensing.

  • Understanding of engineering data and document management principles.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly required to sit or stand; occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.

  • Typical office environment with occasional exposure to industrial settings.
