Role Overview
The Project Engineer I – Steam Turbine and Generator serve as a liaison between engineering, project management, EPC partners, suppliers, and customers. This role supports the integration of engineering, scheduling, and purchasing activities to ensure steam turbine and generator scope is executed in accordance with contractual and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
- Coordinate and resolve technical issues related to steam turbine and generator scope between EPCs, suppliers, and customers during project execution.
- Develop and maintain division of responsibilities and working procedures with turbine and generator suppliers and affiliates.
- Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with contract requirements and document flow processes.
- Support interdisciplinary coordination across engineering teams and lead resolution of interface issues.
- Participate in project meetings with internal teams and international partners to support successful project implementation.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in relevant Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering discipline or technical diploma from college or university and 1-3 Years extensive direct experience with an EPC firm, steam turbine and or generator OEM, or power-related industry is required. Experience with working knowledge of engineering codes and standards is desired.
- Strong analytical skills related to engineering problem solving. Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and must not require employer immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
