Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a Supply Chain Expeditor Associate (Internship).
SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Expeditor Associate supports the Expediting team by monitoring, reporting, and tracking material deliveries to ensure they meet Mitsubishi Power’s required delivery dates. The role assists in communicating material status to internal and external stakeholders and supports the SAP goods receipt process for purchase order milestone invoices, along with other project invoice tracking activities. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in supply chain processes and expediting practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support expediting activities to ensure project procurement plan dates are met (e.g., technical specification releases, RFQ issuance, PO placement).

Monitor Purchase Order Releases and follow up with vendors for timely and accurate Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs).

Review MPRs against baseline schedules to identify potential delays and escalate issues when necessary.

Expedite parts and document deliveries to meet required dates; assist in resolving late delivery issues.

Support the Release to Pack and Release to Ship processes.

Assist with reviewing packing list items against the Shippable Bill of Materials (SBOM) to ensure suppliers deliver complete and accurate items.

Obtain Proof of Deliveries from vendors to support SAP goods receipts.

Attend weekly delivery schedule reviews with the Project Team as requested.

Update and publish On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Open Shortage & Damage (OS&D) reports.

Support expeditors in resolving OS&D issues related to parts or information gaps.

Attend customer meetings upon request to support expediting and material control processes.

Confirm PO milestones are met and issue goods receipts in SAP to support invoice processing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
Education & Experience:

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) program at a four-year college or university with an interest in supply chain, procurement, buying, selling, contracts, cost reduction, or budgeting.

Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required.
Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, engineering drawings, material specifications, professional journals, and technical procedures.

Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.

Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions in environments with limited standardization.
Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and PowerPoint.

Basic experience with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
Management Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate job tasks, goals, and projects to global sourcing staff, and assist in managing delegated assignments.
