  • Must Currently be enrolled in a post-secondary college or university program pursuing a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Supply Chain, or Engineering field. This role is intended for students seeking practical experience in supply chain and procurement environments. Prior internship, co-op, or relevant coursework is preferred but not required.

 

  •  Junior year students preferred.

 

  • Location: Lake Mary, FL Headquarters

 

  • Work Schedule: Must be able to work 12 hours a week minimum. During School students can work a max of 28 hours a week during business hours and During school Breaks and Summer can work up to 40 hours a week as needed if not taking over 12+ credits for Summer. (We will work around your school schedule).

 

  • Length of Internship: 6 months Minimum and could extend longer OR turn into a full-time position with approved headcount.

 

  • Target start date is end of September beginning of October and must be able to work over the Summer.

 

Role Overview

 

The Supply Chain Project Management Associate is an entry-level professional role within the Supply Chain job family. This position provides transactional, administrative, and coordination support to Supply Chain Project Managers and cross-functional teams in support of procurement and project execution activities. The role performs assigned tasks under supervision, following established procedures, systems, and business guidelines, while developing foundational knowledge of supply chain and sourcing practices.

 

The Supply Chain Project Management Associate supports procurement and expediting execution for power generation projects by assisting with sourcing activities, purchase order administration, supplier coordination, project execution, and documentation tracking. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate system data, supporting project communications, and ensuring timely processing of procurement-related activities to enable efficient execution of Supply Chain Project Managers’ responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Project Execution & Transactional Support

 

  • Assist Supply Chain Project Managers with procurement and project execution activities for assigned projects, equipment, or services.
  • Support preparation and issuance of Supply Chain Schedules.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of project official correspondence distribution groups.
  • Support tracking and maintenance of procurement data accuracy, including pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules.
  • Support project creation and updating project related information using Insite LMS software and SharePoint databases.

 

Expediting, Material Control & Delivery Coordination

 

  • Track supplier progress and delivery schedules using Master Delivery Reports (MDR) and internal tracking tools.
  • Assist with expediting suppliers to support engineering, quality, and shipment milestones.
  • Monitor and follow up on supplier deliverables, highlighting potential delays to Supply Chain Project Managers.
  • Support resolution and documentation of overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).

 

Cross-Functional Coordination & Administrative Support

 

  • Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, quality, logistics, project management, and finance to support procurement activities.
  • Provide status updates and reporting support to Supply Chain Project Managers.
  • Participate in internal coordination meetings and capture action items as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data collection and process adherence.

 

Requirements

 

Education & Experience:

 

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary college or university program pursuing a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Supply Chain or Engineering field. Professional Knowledge:


Foundational understanding of supply chain concepts, procurement processes, or business operations through coursework or academic projects.

 

Attention to Detail:


Demonstrates strong accuracy in data entry, documentation, and task execution with a focus on completeness and organization.

 

Analytical Skills:


Ability to interpret basic data, reports, and schedules with guidance; developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

 

Communication Skills:

 

Effective written and verbal communication skills to support teamwork, coordination, and learning in a professional environment.

 

Systems & Tools:


Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word); exposure to ERP systems (SAP or similar) is a plus.

  • Limited travel may be required.  Potentially could be traveling to a project site to see the equipment / power plant.
